The Space Design Alliance of Korea (SDAK) is a professional coalition of 23 academic societies and professional associations representing all facets of spatial design—from urbanism and architecture to interiors, exhibitions, landscaping, and public facilities. We bring together academia and practice, public and private sectors, united in our mission to create spaces of excellence and cultural value that enrich the lives of all.

SDAK serves as both a professional community and a policy partner, responding to the evolving needs of our cities and society. We are committed to creating spaces that are safer, more beautiful, and more inclusive for everyone. Through research, policy recommendations, public project consultancy, conferences, international exchanges, and educational programs, we provide expert and field-informed perspectives to national and local government spatial policy development. We also work closely with industry and civil society to drive meaningful change and practical improvements in our built environment.

Our mission is to elevate the cultural value and aesthetic quality of space, strengthen national and regional identity, and ensure that all citizens can enjoy well-designed environments. Looking ahead, we are dedicated to advancing Korea's spatial culture—one that harmonizes with local history, identity, and the environment while growing into a globally recognized cultural asset.
